In May of 2012, the world as we know it has come to an end. The Mayan Calendar predicted an end to the world but it wasn't really the end.  It was a re-boot.  The Earth's magnetic poles shifted by a margin of 90 degrees. The resulting magnetic storms and tectonic plate shifts all but decimated modern  civilization. What remains of civilized people are isolated groups known as Colonies.  Colonies fight for survival amongst the left over technology, food, weapons and shelter that still exists.  Some humans did not remain civilized and have formed into groups known as Marauders.  Marauders only exist to survive for the moment. Using ruthless guerilla tactics , Marauders overrun, kill and destroy any Colonies they discover.
